Affidea Switzerland
Affidea Switzerland is a national player in healthcare and an outpatient healthcare provider, active in diagnostic imaging and specialized medicine. Affidea’s activities include radiology, breast medicine, gastroenterology, and the management of multidisciplinary medical centers.
The group has been present in Switzerland since 2007 and serves over 150,000 patients annually with medical services. Today, Affidea Switzerland has more than 700 employees across 33 centers, with over 100 doctors. The company is known for its safe handling of patients and received 5 stars for patient safety at its centers with CT departments on the Eurosafe Wall of Stars by the European Society of Radiology.
In Western Switzerland, Affidea operates 11 medical imaging centers in the regions of Fribourg, Valais, and Geneva, with two centers specialized in women’s imaging. In 2023, Affidea made significant expansions in German-speaking Switzerland after the company became the majority owner of the Brust-Zentrum Zürich and Plastic Surgery Group, the largest Swiss group for integrated breast medicine in the Canton of Zurich. Over the past 20 years, these two centers have built an excellent reputation in the market, offering patients from the Zurich region and across Switzerland a wide range of integrated services, from breast cancer prevention and diagnostic imaging to outpatient consultations, medical cancer treatments, surgical treatments, breast reconstruction, and follow-up care. Since early 2024, Affidea has also had a presence in Aargau, after acquiring the Radiology Institute Baden AG and the Outpatient Gastroenterology Baden AG in Baden. At the end of 2023, Affidea Switzerland announced its expansion into Ticino, with the opening of the Affidea Breast Center Ticino in Lugano, based on the successful model in Zurich. Since January 2024, there has been close collaboration with the medical specialist team, which will be merged into a brand-new, state-of-the-art center in early 2025.
In March 2025, another major growth step was achieved: with the acquisition of the Uroviva Group in German-speaking Switzerland, Affidea expands its network to include the largest urological network in Switzerland. Additionally, 3 gynecological practices and an oncology department have been integrated into the Affidea network.
These new developments demonstrate Affidea Switzerland’s commitment to expanding its portfolio of specialized medical services, its national network, and its expertise in diagnostic imaging.
